Hello, everyone!
I'm Yue Lai from Class 2006, Senior high。The title of my speech is "Volunteering, Starting from little things".。
1963年3月5日，毛泽东同志在《冰球突破豪华版网页版》题词“向雷锋同志学习”。People all over the country are encouraged to learn from Lei Feng。Since then, March every year has been designated as "Learn from Lei Feng Month" to commemorate the ordinary soldier who devoted his life to volunteer service。
I was deeply affected by Comrade Lei Feng's spirit of selfless dedication。In 2017, I registered as a volunteer of "Volunteer Beijing". Up to now, I have participated in nearly 360 volunteer projects and accumulated more than 2,700 hours of volunteer service。In the beginning, I only participated in small projects: walking on the street, telling other people about public welfare projects;Or do what you can to donate books and clothing to those in need。So far, I can still clearly remember the smiles on the faces of the elderly when we popularized anti-fraud knowledge to them in the community, and the gratitude for our volunteer service。Later, gradually, I began to join groups in some larger projects: I participated in the duty of garbage bin when the country advocated garbage classification, and popularized garbage classification knowledge for residents in the community。Or take the opportunity of World Food Day to participate in publicity and guidance, so that the awareness of "CD-ROM action" is deeply rooted in people's hearts, and contribute their own efforts to create a good social atmosphere of civilization and economy。My deepest experience was when I went to the community to proofread Braille books。Thinking of these special books to meet the blind friends reading dreams, I am full of energy。Later, with the improvement of my volunteer service experience, I began to sign up for interpretive service projects and work as a volunteer speaker in tourist attractions。One of them was to walk into the Yishou Hall of the Summer Palace and preach to people from all over the world about the revolutionary deeds and the red spirit of the Communist Party of China (CPC)。
During the epidemic, I continued to volunteer。Using the Internet, I actively participate in online volunteer activities。I have participated in voluntary reading activities, recorded myself reading audio, packaged and distributed to the community, to help people in need to enter the world of books;I also often join propaganda organizations, and create calligraphy, poetry, and handwritten newspapers on the theme of fighting the epidemic at home, and upload them to the Internet to silently add fuel to the fight against the epidemic。
At school, I still actively practice volunteering。I joined the planning Department of the school Youth League Committee and often participated in organizing, guiding and other services as a volunteer in large-scale activities。In the Shuimu action of the school public welfare, my class actively participated in the volunteer service work, such as greeting teachers and students at the school gate, picking up garbage in the campus, and cleaning the classroom - so that the beauty of the campus has something to do with me。
Some people always think that only by standing up to subdue a thief, or doing their best to rescue a drowning child, is a good deed done。Not so much。There are not so many thieves around us to punish, and there are not so many children accidentally falling into the water。Volunteer, three words seem big, but in fact, anyone can join。Doing good deeds, volunteering, and more about doing your part, promoting personal dedication, and infiltrating love into the small details of life。We don't need too much expertise, nor do we need to spend a lot of time, just a warm heart, a spirit of not asking for return and helping others。"Do not refuse to work carefully, and do not dislike fine work.。"Only by doing small things well can we make big things beautiful.。There is great wisdom hidden in every small goal of volunteering, and great utility hidden in every small service。
March is "Learn from Lei Feng Month", but learning from Lei Feng is not only in March。For volunteer service, every day is "Learn from Lei Feng Day" and every month is "Learn from Lei Feng Month".。We should focus on small things, do small things well, let the "small figure" of volunteers more and more, so that our city will become a "volunteer city" full of warmth and love forever.。
